RATIONALE:
THE SCHOOL OF TOURISM MANAGEMENT is in a state of conjugating a coterie, a group of people sharing a common set of interest and being able to relate socially, of students that will precede and lead every activities and events within the department. In connection to this, the department would like to laid out the blueprint comprising the plans and projects for the school year. It would also be an upper hand to form this club to continue the amiable support of the students and teachers to exhibit a united department.
Moreover, the organization’s name is rooted to its students and teacher’s quality of being able to connect and relate with each other as they share a common set of interest. With this, they decided to choose the noun, COTERIE, as it emits the same essence as the department’s trademark of being able to connect and relate socially. Tourism students are etched with quality of being sociable individuals. They are expected to encompass the technical, practical, and professional learning and application of skills with respect to specific areas.
MISSION: To prepare students for successful careers in the tourism industry by providing practical knowledge, hands-on experience, and a deep understanding of travel management.
VISION: To be a leading program in tourism management, recognized for producing skilled professionals who contribute positively to the global tourism sector through innovation, sustainability, and exceptional service.
OBJECTIVES:
The department seeks to achieve the following objectives:
- To promote the reliance of the department as they strive to gain more tourism aspirants and make the department more intensive in number.
- To encourage the student’s active involvement in activities and programs that will develop their sense of being a member of the COTERIE.
- To give remarkable recreation to students so they can be exposed to activities related to the course.
- To create individuals who will enliven the meaning of COTERIE.
