CONSTITUTION AND BY-LAWS of the Junior Business Executive Society
ARTICLE I: Name
Section 1: Name
The name of this organization shall be the Junior Business Executive Society, hereinafter referred to as "JBES."
Section 2: Purpose
The purpose of JBES is to provide a platform for junior business executives to network, develop professional skills, and promote ethical business practices and enhance their capabilities and capacities.
ARTICLE II: Affiliation
This organization is under the Office of the Student Affairs and coordinated with the Supreme Student Council of PMFTCI.
ARTICLE III: Membership
a. Membership in JBES shall be open to undergraduate students in Pinamalayan Maritime Foundation and Technological College pursuing a degree in business or a related field.
b. Membership shall be granted upon completion of the application process, including payment of dues as determined by the JBES executive board.
c. Membership may be revoked by the executive board for failure to adhere to the code of conduct or for actions that are determined to be detrimental to the goals and objectives of JBES.
ARTICLE IV: Officers
Section 1: The executive board shall consist of the following officers: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, PRO, Socio Cultural and by year level representative.
Section 2: The officers shall be elected by a majority vote of the JBES membership during the annual general assembly.
Section 3: Officers shall serve a term of one academic year and may be re-elected for consecutive terms.
ARTILE V: Duties of Officers
Section 1: President
a. Preside over all JBES meetings and events.
b. Represent JBES in external communications and interactions.
c. Coordinate with other officers to ensure the smooth operation of JBES.
Section 2: Vice President
a. Assist the President in his/her duties.
b. Assume the duties of the President in his/her absence.
c. Coordinate and oversee JBES committees.
Section 3: Secretary
a. Maintain accurate records of JBES meetings, including minutes and attendance.
b. Handle general correspondence and communications.
c. Assist in the organization of JBES events.
Section 4: Treasurer
a. Manage the financial affairs of JBES.
b. Maintain accurate financial records and prepare financial reports.
c. Collect membership dues and handle JBES finances in accordance with the established budget.
Section 5: Auditor
a. Assist the treasurer in evaluating all the JBES funds.
b. Analyze if there is any fraud.
c. Providing detailed report in the operations of JBES
Section 6: Public Relation Officer
a. Maintaining relations applies for those activities dedicated to upholding the image of JBES.
b. Analyzing and gathering information in planning and scheduling events.
c. Promote the department or organization to the public.
Section 7: Socio-Cultural
a. Shall be the resources of equitable and relevant opportunities for the development of the organization.
b. Supervises the operation and activities of all the public events of JBES.
Section 8: Event Coordinator
a. Plan, organize, and execute JBES events and activities.
b. Coordinate with external organizations, sponsors, and speakers for JBES events. 3. Ensure the success and smooth operation of JBES events.
ARTICLE VI: Adviser
a. The organization adviser is the assigned Department Adviser.
b. The adviser shall advice and guide the organization with the help of Supreme Student Council to fulfill its goals and objectives.
c. The adviser shall act as the mentor and counselor of the organization.
d. Adviser provides direct assistance in planning and implementing programs.
e. Adviser assist the organization in setting realistic goals and objectives each academic year.
ARTICLE VII: Obligation to the SSC and Institution
This article emphasizes the obligations of the Junior Business Executive Society towards the Supreme Student Council (SSC) and the institution it belongs to. Some provisions that may be included are:
a. Cooperation: Specify the society's duty to cooperate and coordinate with the SSC and other related student organizations.
b. Funding and Resource Allocation: Outline the procedure for requesting and utilizing funds and c. Reporting and Accountability: Establish reporting mechanisms to keep the SSC and institution informed about the society's activities and progress resources provided by the SSC or institution
ARTICLE VIII: Amendments and Effectivity
Section 1: Amendments
Any amendments on this constitution and by-laws must be approved by the organization members and adviser and subject for the approval of the students Office of the student’s affairs.
Section 2: Effectivity
This constitution and by-laws shall take effect immediately upon approval of organization members and adviser and be forwarded to the Office of the Students Affairs and Top management for final approval and 15 days after its publication to the official page of PMFTCI-School of Business Administration and Accountancy.
Article IX: Meetings
Section 1: JBES shall hold regular meetings at least once a month during the academic year.
Section 2: Additional general assembly meetings may be called by the executive board or upon written request by at least 10% of the JBES membership.
Section 3: Quorum for general assembly meetings shall consist of at least 50% of the JBES membership.
